My Pilot

---------------------------

The PalmPilot is a simply amazing device, I recently purchaced one, because my notebook crapped out on me. I got the personal edition, because money is tight. And it has suited me fine, but I do plan on getting a 1 meg upgrade chip. I had graffiti down in about 30 min. Now I only have problems with a couple letters, but I've only had it a couple days now...so I expect this to change. I have installed LaunchPad, instead of using the standard program manager, and am very pleased with the tabs. My pilot has 512k of ram, and about 100k free at any given time, even though I'm constantly d/l programs for it.

Today I put a piece of scotch tape on the graffite area, to cut down on scratches

I got a Camera case from K-Mart today, so I can have my pilot attached to my belt. So I do not have to wear my trench coat all the time. At $16, it's not bad, consitering it's leather. The pilot fits into it very well. The fit is a bit louse, but not very much. I got the Ryka Genuine Leather case, model no. EL-15. As an added bonus, the case has another pocket, just the right size to hold a pack o smokes, and an extra lighter!

I also built an adapter, so I can put the pilot in the crade, and use a modem with it. It works great, and only cost about $5. And that includes stuff to make it nice, like exterior thingies around the ports. Here's a quick pinout for wireing your own.

I got the 1 meg upgrade!

Now I can fit what I want on it all at once!...Kicks mutchly. And I can send e-mail with it...I have not successfully hooked up to the net yet though. But with pilot-link, it takes care of the mail delivery. Very seamless...and uses the rom app!
