Enlightenment

In case you don't know, Enlightenment is a window manager for X, fully customizable by most any stretch of the imaganation.

I've had E now for about 2 days...and have a themeball of my own! (well, bits of it)

Well, here it is, what I feel right with, for the moment at least. I wish I had enough space for this to be d/l, but I dont. So, e-mail me with a request for the themeball, and I will send it to you asap. (I'm in front of my terminal about 18 hours out of any given day) SEND REQUEST

This was origionaly the DEFAULT theme. I loved the way it wored/looked, but didn't like the way the windowframe took up so much extra space. So, having now artisitic talent whatsoever, I got as many other themes as I could, and piced the best bits of all of them, and vala!

One of the things that has erked me about many wms, is the way they must have a border around the entire window, why?! Shure it looks nice, but it uses screen realestate. It also takes up extra memory. So, the first thing I did, was remove the sides, and bottom from the windowframe. This may sound trivial, but on my notebook, it offers a bit of a speedup.

New breakthrough, I have been able to modify existing ppm files, to make it look more like I want it to. But I couldn't get gimp to compile, or xv to convert right (it lost the transparent color value), so I decided to go with the old standby xpm. Now I don't like using image editors, so I used emacs to edit the xpm files. Worked great! And now the window interface is much more to my likeing...very minimal.

I have optimized this theme to work great on both 1024x768, and 640x480. Since I have my main system, and a notebook. (thank god I got 16 bit on both!)
