I'm currently somewhere near las vegas. At least somwehere in nevada. Otherwise what I did only half an hour ago would have been iligal.

Gambeling

Mike droped me off in this huge cluster of casios. Many diffrent flavors to choose from. Many difrent ways to waste your money. I decided to give it a try. Gave myself a 5$ limit. A five stop is nothing.

Went into one of the most impressive buildings that was here. It was very flashy inside. Lots of flashing lights, lots of sounds. Very aluring to the soul. I got totaly lost, disorintated inside. So many people, so many machines. The soundlevel was almost unbearable. Peoples voices, the sound of machines paying off, and then the music. Some band playing country music. Not bad, but a tad on the loud side.

It took me a while to find the nickel machines. Ended up circleing the inside of the building several times before actualy finding them. But it was worth it. Strangely entertaining. Droped in a dollar, played for about 20 minuits on that. Finaly when it ran out I decided to stick another one in. This time I did better. I was winning as much as I was paying. Just staying steady on my ballance.

Once in a while I would have two dollars on the table, sometimes only 25 cents. I just kept bouncing back and fourth. Never realy going anywhere. I lost track of time, just kept feeding the nickles into the machine. The same nickles over and over again. Hit the spin button. Hit it again. Watch the fruit, and other strange objects roll by. It was mesmerising, no wonder these places make so much money.

Finaly after who knows how long, my stack of nickles finaly ran out. Wasn't shure if I realy wanted to continue. I could see a pattern forming here. Nothing. Just enough payout to keep the people entertained. Just enough to keep them sticking money into the machine. Just enough for them to hope it would pay out again. But in the end the machine gobled up everyone's money. Totaly without remorse. The desingers applauding. Lining thier pocketbooks with others hard earned money. Again, without remorse.

Very strange

After lousing two dollars I had enough. I didn't want to play thier stupid game anymore. It was more fun to wander around the building and watch other people. Since one of my main goals in life is to actualy understand what drives people. This was a good opertunity.

Foolish people droping thier money into these vile machines. Robotic thives. Somehow luring thier prey in. Offering the hope of ritches. Offering the pretense of a good time. Rarely giving either of these things.

This was my first time gambeling, and hopefully my last. I realy don't see the point in it. More trouble than it's worth. One day I may understand what drives people to fall for things like this. One day...

One realy strange thing I noticed. I was never asked for ID by anyone. Probably a good thing...I don't have any! I counted 7 officers in the building. Either police, or security guards police like uniforms. The main reason I decided to leave. After I spent enough time just wandering around they started to pay attention to me. Watch me. Oh, they tried to be subtle about it. I can tell though. Very easily. I spend enough of my time watching others ;)

Now I sit alone in the truck, waiting for mike to return. Don't even know where he is. I assume in one of the casinos spending his money. Oh well. His choice, and it's not like I can do anything about it.

Alone, I'm alone most of the time. Even in a room full of people I'm still alone. Rarely do I ever go with an actual 'group'. Most people realy don't matter to me, no point.

Counting how many trucks thier are just in this parking lot brings up a total of about 60. Sixty drivers total. A rather large waste of thier income if you ask me.

Mike just returned, I must go...
