Found out an interesting thing today. The tailgate of my truck comes off. It's just kina a pull, and a twist. Quite simple and elegant.

Danm that thing is heavy. I couldn't even carry it up to the house. Had to pretty much drag it.

Hopefully this improves my gas mlage a bit. With the current prices of gasoline...Gesh this is insane! It cost me about 30$ to fill my bloody tank! Totaly insane.

Hmm, they say these prices are caused by some sort of shortage. I say nay. It's more hanous than that. You will notice that about a year back they raised the speed limits around the country. Thustly letting people get places faster. And, spending more time drive, and more money on fuel. So, it's in thier best intrest to wait a good while, then raise the fuel prices.

This may sound like some sort of conspericy theroy...but if you look at it, it just makes sence. If we where realy under a shortage as they say...it would be rationed. Heh...insane I tell you.

The reason they can get away with this, is people need to get places. Be it work, or the sitter. And, they are going to pay even outragous prices to do it. If they don't? Well, they can't help but do it.

Then we come down to another problem. It's not just fuel prices that have gone up. It's everything. Do you realize that most everything you own once took a ride in a big eighteen wheeler? Yep, a big rig. A real truck. The kind two of my roomates drive. And, also notice that diesel is much more expensive than ordanary gasoline. WTF!? Heh, it actualy makes a lot of scense if you think about it.

People in cars can decide to not drive as much. But for a Trucker, it's thier living. Quite often, they end up driving somewhere around 700-800 miles a day. They may not fuel up every day, but when they do...oh, my. How would you like to fill a several hundred gallon tank?

Since the price of diesal is higher, it costs more to ship products/produce. And, thustly you see the increase on the store shelves. What a racket, ehh?

So, what can we do to stop it? Well, not much realy. A 'gas out' just doesn't work, it only ends up hurting the good people who retail the fuel. It doesn't realy bother the big oil companys/.gov at all. Merely a slight nusance to them.

Writeing letters won't help either. They won't be read by anybody who cares. Soon as the guy who skims it realizes what he's got in his hands...off to the trash it goes. This country sucks.
