I recently picked up some new parts for sae, my webserver. She's now a ghz, with 128 megs of ram, and 40 gigs of storage.

That's not the best part. I got netatalk to work! I've been toying with it off and on for years, but never got it to work quite right. Finaly! The trick is to have no config file. Hah.

As you can imagine I've been moving stuff away from my nasty NT server to sae (linux is much nicer to work with). That's been going well, only about 20 gigs or so left to process.

After that's complete, I'll put linux on sasami (the NT box) as well. Once that's done every computer I own will be ether mac, or *nix based, some both :)

Today was good, I woke up at 5:00pm, and promptly went back to bed.

The day before was even better. Woke up, missed the Apple II meeting due to being up so late the night before. Went fishing with ben and don, then had sushi with quite a few friends. Don, ben, tate, adam, steve, and sam.

The sushi place actualy closed 30 min after we got there, but since we had so many people with us they stayed open over an hour past close. Very nice.

They even had pocky! Nice, I picked up several boxes.

Pas there we went to adam and steve's house and played video games. Grand Theft Auto 3! Wow, that's all I can say. If I could justify 200$ for a PS2, and then another 50 for that game I'd get it. But that would take away from my l33t computer time.

This would also be a good time to point out that I picked up the hitchhikers guide to the galexy on DVD. Very cool. Cosmic comics was out, but they gave me a copy owned by one of the guys who worked there (danm they are nice).

Recenly I got the rest of 'maho tsukai tai' or magic users club. Another big wow. I love the series, though it never does go anywhere really. It's just cute. The ending was impressive, and heart wrenching. It happens.

Tokyopop has purchased the rights for 'love hina', I found this out after buying the first 8 issues done by this company who's name slips my mind. They make cool bi-lingual versions of manga to aid japanese learning english. Best of all, they do this years before they would be translated to englesh. In effect you can get things far, far sooner.

But tokyopop has the rights now, and haven't even released the first issue. Hmm, wait it should have been out since the begining of the month. But even at one issue a month that's almost 2 years till I can get the rest of it now.

They also have the rights to sevearl other series, chobits, marmalade boy to name a few.

Marmalade boy is the strangest manga I've ever read. Danm. It's just twisted.

It starts out the girls parents tell her they are getting a divorce. But they will continue to live together. While they where on vacation they met another couple, and will be 'switching' partners.

Turns out the other couple has a boy about her age, maby a bit older. As things unwind they fall in love. You take a very twisted situation, and it just keeps getting worse. Espicaly when their secret gets out.

Chobits is no less strange. Imagine lots of perverted antics and little else. Quite funny :) Oddly this was done by the same group (clamp) that did 'card captor sakura' a childrens anime/manga.

I just find that to be an odd combonation.
