The second file in the *_hoe series, but has nothing to do with the previous.

Today at work we had a modem being janky. I called the guy to reset it, and it didn't help at all. It probably just need to be replaced. Stupid modems. Then he had a digital line go down...and it doubles as a router. That was pretty messy.

You would think people would actualy give up childish things as they got older. Most notabley the annoying bits. The totaly annoying 'baby' voice. I think that's the one that pisses me off the most. It's just pointless. Saying words correctly makes the biggest diffrence. Not to say it can be fun on occasion to say them with a slight/heavy accent. But this should never be the primary mode of speech. Unless of course you have a good excuse...broken jaw.

The people sitting directly across from me fit the filename's title. They seem like nice enough people, but I realy don't like thier whole demeaner. Picture white trash. B00m, Ya got 'em. Yes, you are right...it's that bad. Not 'ultimate' white trash...the wife's not quite that heavy...and thank god not wearing a realy, realy tight halter top. I can only thank the gods for that one.

Everybody wants to be like them. Heh, just kidding :) I think most people asire to *not* be like them. But try as they might...white trash makes up the better part of this country. Even if they don't look like white trash on the outside...they probably are on the inside.

To truely understand my definition of white trash, I'll have to explain it...lest you take me for some sort of random bastard. White trash never strives to better thier situation, they expect somebody else to do it for them. They belive that the world 'owes' them everything handed down on a silver plater. These people live from paycheck to paycheck...and barely at that. Not because they don't make enough, but they don't know how to manage thier money. They also don't have any intrest in learning.

An entire family is ususaly white trash, but not nessasarly. It's the common denomonator due to it being a learned thing...not natural. Some wonderfull gems come from white trash familys. Oddly enough, quite a few hackers.

I'm just sucking at nethack today. Haven't even gotten past the second level in any of my games. Gesh. In the first game I only made like 30 moves total. At least the last game was a bit better...level 2 killed by a bolt of lightning. When I killed a gas spore, it exploded and my cat died. Thustly angering my god...and every other monster on the level. Bad thing when a water demon pops out of the next fountan I drink from. But it's a bit more heroic than being killed by a newt on level 1.

I'm going to have to take this keyboard appart, and clean it. I'm starting to miss charecters again. They keys are getting mushy (junk under them)...brb. Whew, accidently shutdown my box when sticking the keyboard back on. But it seems to be working better now. I just have to remember to do that more often.

How do you pronounce a word that has no vouls? fsck, cp, mv, www, fm, and dd...ya know...some of the most basic things. I've seen people try, and have terrible success. Heh, you should see what some of my voice synth programs do to them :)

I wonder if changing the order in my ADB chain at home would make things work better. Who knows, but it's worth a shot. Though I still think it will be a little wierd to have my keyboard plugged into my mouse, then the computer.

Vim did an amazing thing...it saved the file I was working on, even though I hadn't before rebooting. Then when I went to work on it again it asked me if I wanted to restore. How nice...and I thought vi(m) sucked. My mind has been changed now. Course, being able to learn a new thing is deffinitly a good thing. Heh, now my notebook's become much more usefull to me. I never liked the fact that emacs ran so slow...and even jed's kina slugish...but vim...lightning fast. Granted it doesn't have all the cool features...but do I realy need to IRC from my text editor?
