Once again, I'm stuck wandering around with no place to go, and nothing to do. Due to a miscalculation, I'm stuck in beatrice with no transpertation, other than my trusty skateboard.

My skateboard looks new-skool at first, but after a closer examination, it's realy quite old-skool. The only thing new-skool about it, is the style of deck, but even that is questionable. For I have a 17 inch length between trucks. New-skool is never above 15, and that's consitered quite large. I also have some pretty large, soft wheels. At one time, I had some realy tiny hard things they said where wheels, but they didn't work well. Shure they where faster on perfectly flat ground, but one little bump, or rock, and I was eating dirt. With the advent of the new wheels, much nicer. I can keep up aa decent speed on bad teran, even across gravel (Though it's not fun).

So, I'm stuck here, so far this morning, I've walked/skated about 5 miles, maby more, not like I was counting, went from downtown to mcdonalds, to downtown, to the park. The park is about 4 miles away from downtown, or so, maby 3. I don't remember. And, in about 4 hours, I will head back downtown again.

It's also kina cold out, thank the gods I have a trench coat.

It's realy a bit cold to loiter here, but I don't exactly have much in the way of cash, so a resturant is kina out of the question at the moment, plus, I don't know where else would be better. Thought of going to my little house, but then I realized that I don't have the keys to it on me at the moment. I'll just pop in some music, and relax for a while, already took an hour nap on this bench.

Cold, and tired...not to mention bored, it's kina hard to type with my fingers being so numb.

My wonderous journy today has brought me to the local library. Incredibly large for the size of the town, very out of perportion. It's nice and warm it here, also dosn't cost to loiter here. All I have to do, is be quiet. Hopefully they tapping away at my keyboard does not get me thrown out. Also as a note of intrest, I think I still have a book I borrowed from here many yeaars ago, They have probably forgotten about it by now, but then again, they do use computers to keep track of all of thier check outs, so who realy knows.

Some other things that I have been pondering, what will happen tommorow, I wish I knew. The only thing that I do know for shure, is that I did the right thing. It was the thing that was nessary to be done...I was willing to let her learn some of lifes lessons the hard way, the lessons that realy don't mess you up for life, and just kina leve little bruses. But as time went by, she did something, or had something done to her that was just too much. Went to far, not acceptable at all. I had to do something, and what I did was the only thing I realy could do. I hope she doesn't hate me for it. Though, I'm shure she will resent it greatly for a while, couple days, weeks, months, It's hard to tell, could be years, or forever...I shudder at the thought though. She has been, and is one of my best friends, I don't want to louse her. Though I feel I may at least for a while because of this.

Thier is a distinction of who are realy your friends, and who are just passers by in life. It's a very grey line, sometimes quite blurry. A true friend will stand by you no matter what, will do anything within thier means to help you, even at the sacrifice of themelves. Also, a friend will do all they can to pick up the pieces when you do hit a hard spot in life. Some spots are harder than others though, sometimes they will let you wade through it youself, because if they pulled you up everytime you skinned your knee, you would become fully dependant on them. On another note of intrest, most truely good frined keep secrets between each other that are only shared with each other, while it is inportant to keep these things secret, thusly keeping your promise, sometimes you need to tell somebody else, this doesn't happen very often, but sometimes it does. If they are doing something that they realy shouldn't, then by all means, try to talk them out of it, and if that fails, get ahold of somebody who can help. It can save a friendship, or break one, but a true friendship is worth risking to save the other person. They may rezent it at the time, and for a while after, but eventualy, they will realize that you where realy looking out for thier best intrests. (probably).

I noticed that my left hand has the resudue of aluminum on it, from carying my skateboard. It's kina hard to skate up a hill, or on realy shitty terain (like grass), so carrying it is the best option in that kind of situation.

At the bell, the time is 12:00, only two more hours till I have to be at the coffeeshop to get a ride home, coure, even then, I may not get a ride home till 16:30, if my ride has to work late. Being without a working vechicle is troublesome at best, very annoying. But, is the least of my concern at the current stanza. I have many things I need to do, but little chane of them actualy getting done. I owe some people money, but, in retrospect, some people owe me money also, both of witch when calculated together come out to a grand total somewhere around 0$, so realy I come out about even with it.

From how my das has been going today, seems like I'm working on the textfile of doom, if you know what I mean, Granted it's not 200k, or anything like that, but still pretty big. Well, ok not actualy that big, it's only 5k so far, but I've got about 4.5 hours to go worst case senero.

Have I lost?

Am I still playing?

Where is everybody!

Sometimes I ponder if life is realy just some sort of sick and twisted game where the players don't know what's happening. They just think thier alive, when in fact they are something on the lines of chesspieces that can think, or are let to belive that they can. Maby the gods are using us as pawns to decide the fate of the universe, or more likely just passing time while drinking some realy hot tea.

Have you ever though about why things are done they way they are? Have you ever asked your father why something was done a certan way, and gotten a response on the lines of 'I don't know exactly, my father did it like that, so I do'. This has to have happend to you at least half a dozen times in your life. It happens to everybody. Well, one day I set out to figure out why, why are things done just like they have been in the past. And, I found the answers.

1. It works, so why not.

2. People get stuck into ruts, and if they have a way that works, they will just keep doing it that way till it doesn't.

An odd experence, that explaine d this entire phenonom to me was, one day, I was over at my mothers house helping make dinner, she happend to be makeing a roast. She used a very large pan to make the roast, much larger than actualy nessary. I asked her why she insisted on using such a large pan. Well, as it happend, her mother had used that same pan to make roast in all the time, so that was why. Then I noted to her that the size of the pan probably had to due with her mother making a lot more roast at a time, having many more children. She pondered the thought for a bit, letting it roll around in her head for a while, and exclamed, yes, your right...she had never previously thougt of it in that way before, she had just done it the way her mother did, it worked, and that's how she was taught, why not? But, after cooking the roast in a noticlbly smaller pan, comments where said at the table consisting of 'wow, this is a lot more food than normal', this was due to the fact that a small item in a small container looks bigger than the the above mentioned item in a large contaner. It's all perportional. One of the interesting features of the human brain, it allows itself to be tricked by the sillyest of things. Quite effective it is, used in marketing all the time. Make the cerial box just a bit begger, but the cerial inside is the same ammount, and people won't mind paying a bit more for it, Add a couple ounces, and raise the price a bit, but convence them that they are getting a better deal, they won't think about the fact that thier realy paying an extra 10% per ounce. They will be convinced. This is how marketing works, convence the people that they realy need something that they don't, and then convence them that your giving them a realy good deal on it while your at it. It's simply amazing how many things exist on the market that nobody in thier right mind needs, but these items still sell like hotcakes. Specal note of intrest, the lolypop that spins itself, how freaking hard is it to spin a lolypop? I mean, realy folkes, anybody I see buying one of these monstrositys of sloth will personlay be told off by me. Thier is no point to it, it just shows how lazy our country has become over time. For crying out loud, the US uses like 90% of everything the world produces. Americans are fat and lazy for the most part, due to the fact that where a world power, we feel that we can just rape the rest of the world.

Also, as a note of intrest, when reaching 10k on the palmPilot in a document, it starts to get realy slow, kina like molasis in january. But, closing the document, and opening it back up again helps it bit. The slowness happens because of the way the program is writen, it for some reason or another appears to keep the entire document in one string variable, and as we all know, it's a bad idea to have these be too big. Also, I realy need to register this program, I use it so much now, Nicer than memopad, because of sevearal reasons, No 4k limit, Compression, and the fact that it uses doc files, so I can write something like this up on here, and later transfer it to my main computer later, without using 3com's stupid software that only runs under the virus called windows.

Well, windows realy isn't a virus. though it does share some of the same traits...A virus is a program that is self replecating, dangerous, and they are ususaly very nicely written. Windows on the other hand, is self replecating, dangerous, and poorly written, more damage to the average users work is done by windows itslef than any random virus that happens to pass by.

12:31, 1.5 hours to go, or maby less, getting to the point where I need a smoke, so I will probably just take off from here at that time

Well, somewhere, somehow, I've lost the antna for my scanner. This sucks, I can only pick up things that are realy close now. This totaly blows. Went to radio shack to get a cheap rubber duckey, but they cost more than a good antena. That's very odd. Too bad I realy have no chance of finding it, I don't know exactly where I've been since I last used it. The problem came from a small hole in my pocket, that it must have slipped through for some odd reason. At least I still have an antean at home I can use, the one off my frequency counter, I realy don't need an anteana on that anway, if I do actualy use the thing, I take it off, because then it picks up interfearance. It's not the best I've ever had, but it will work. Oh well, life goes on, not like I use my scanner that much now anyway. Just once in a while, for the fun of it. Part of this, is because thier's not much to listen to in dewitt. Well, actualy, that's most of it there. I can barely pick up beatrice from there, and nothing worth worrying about ever happens in wilber.

Brightsun is supposto be here before too long to pick me up. If not, I may have to wait till 16:30, I don't cherrish the though of that. Too much waiting for me. At least I got one usefull thing done, got azreals stuff out of my little house. That's a big bonus. I'll give don another 15 min till I take off. If he's not here by then, I'm going to look for my anteana.

If memory serves correctly, I realy haven't gone that far since I last used it. down to the library, and to joels house. And, around downtown a bit. Not much past there. And, I do remember the paths I took, left side of court westbound from the library, then I went downtown to the card shop, then spun around a bit downtown, round the block with .etc on it. After that, went to joels house via 8th street, staying on the left side for a few blocks, then the right side the rest of the way.

Don just got here...
