I'm currently in califormia. Rideing southbound from LA. This is definitly an interesting place to visit, but I would never want to live there. Too many people. The traffic was horable. I thought New york city's traffic was bad. It's nothing compared to this.

This is a place where nobody gives a shit about anyone else. I've only seen a coule people even bother to use thier turn signals. And most of them where from out of state. Completely and undderly insane. The way the fucking four wheelers (cars) weave in and out of traffic. Running bumper to bumper, even when doing 90. I'm amazed that they survive very long doing that. But accidents are pretty comon, saw half a dozen in one day. Heard about many, many more on the radio.

The cost of living out here is quite high. 900$ a month for a cheap appartment. Several thousand a month for a tiny house. They even advertised renting hotel rooms by the week. Quite strange IMHO.

The land in some areas has fields of windmills. Thousands after thousands. They look like crops planted in nice neat rows. Just waiting to be harvested. This apears to be how they power thier monsterous city. Thier must be a lot of wind out here to generate all the power they demand. This would be a great thing for nebraska. It's pleanty windy there.

We have to deadhead (run with no load) 500 miles. All that travel time, and fuel wasted. The broker couldnt even get us anything closer. Bloody crazy. Why would they send us out here if we had no good way to return.

On our way to palm springs, or should I say through palm springs. In the upper mohavi desert. The land here is baren and bleak. Realy nothing to look at. So I just sit here and write to you. Whoever you happen to be.

The evil brown cloud. I'm talking about smog. Discusting shit. Ase got near LA you could see this brown haze over the cityscape. It smells awful, milions of cars producing thier exaust to form this. It's opressive and annoying. My nose has been stuffed since we got here. In NYC the smog is bad but it doesn't even compare to this. A cloud hundreds of miles wide, and a thousand miles long.

I can barely belive that people put up with this shit. It's discusting. Living out here would be crazy. The houses are packed together like sardines. Barely enough yard to bother mowing. Rarely a driveway, ususaly a car. The people are almost friendly. For the most part they ignore you. They never make eye contact. Only once did I get a native to make eye contact with me. She was a realy cute wait at the place I had supper last night. Asian, or more appropriatly japanese. The only reason she made eye contact was due to me flirting with her, and then her flirting back in turn. She was about 22, recently had a birthday. If memory serves she's not maried either. But we didn't even bother exchanging email addys due to the fact that we live in completely diffrent worlds. I'm a wanderer, and she likes to stay put. It wouldn't hae worked out.

Had a hell of a time checking my email last night. I tried every phone in the resturant till the last one had a good data jack. Much prefered to just use a data jack. No messy ripping appart the phone, no questions from the staff. Plus it's just a lot easyer to do.

Not much to do at that truckstop. It was pretty shitty for a truck stop anyway. But it was the only one we could find a space in. We spent about five hours drivig around from truckstop to truckstop looking for a place to park. We had to park in some brokers front yard. At least it worked out. We didn't get a ticket from the police! Suprised me a bit.

Well, the road is getting rough so off with me.
