As I was saying, I'm a member of an opressed group. Several. I like macs, and I like unix. Nuff said.

Just for you information, I'm currenly in southern MO. Yep, in the south. Confederate flags flying high. It's like another country (sorta). I had to drop my roomate off at truck driving school. That will last three weeks. Then he spends six months in a truck with a trainer. I hope he does well.

The ride down was most enjoyable. Quiet, calm, and relaxing. Mostly anyway. Don and I stoped off at a porn shop. Lots of selection, but nothing of intrest. Heh, thier prices where insane! 32$ was standard for a one hour video. 60$ for a basic dildo. Then 20$ for a cock-ring. Gesh. Those prices where hella inflated. If your looking for cheap porn, and sex toys. Go to cali. Much, much better prices.

The other notable event was a 12 car pileup that I just missed being in. Well, realy it never happend. But, if I wasn't so quick witted, it would have. Lets begin from the begining.

I'm doing about 70 down south I-71. We hit some road construction, and the right lane gets closed. No problem, I slip on over to the left. The speed goes down to 60. No big deal, I drop down in speed.

I cruise along like this for about ten minuits. No problem. Then, out of the blue traffic ahead just stops. WTF!? I hit the breaks, causing me to hydroplain. Some joker was in the right lane, trying to pass the slower traffic. I managed to turn right about 10 degrees. Just enough to miss the SUV ahead of me. It was by mere inches. (I had to crank my wheels all the way over to achive this.) The guy in the right lane threw himself in the ditch to get out of my way. I missed him too.

The worst thing that happend had only to do with my heart raceing. It was a definite rush. Fear, and excitement. In all reality, the two are the same thing. I just hope that the return trip is less exciting ;)

While here, I stoped at a goodwill. Lots of junk, but one little gem caught my eye. An old 9' apple monitor. The kind that uses RCA for video input. It's the stuff dreams are made of. Small, cheap, and a good picture. Where else can you get a TV for 12$? I hope it survives the ride home.

Thier seems to be a leak in the back of my cab. Everything I put in there gets very damp. It's realy annoying to say the least.

Due to the stupid laws in this state, I had to remove my scanner from the truck. That realy sucks. It's pure entertainment. Who needs to read the paper, when you can hear about things as they happen?
