How to be a good worker

	The question of what is a good worker is a daunting one, one that
makes a person think quite a bit, what realy makes somebody a good worker.
I will attempt to answer these questions, and explain how to do such.

  1. Keep busy
  2. Work fast
  3. Fix mistakes
  4. Ask questions
  5. Learn


	These are the 5 things that have made me a good worker, and being
a good worker has many bonuses.  If you are a good worker, you can get
away with murder.  I have gone from 5.25 an hour to 6.00 within a week
due to following these 5 easy steps.  And I will teach you how to do the
same.



	1. Keep Busy


	Sounds hard right?  Especaly when you have a slow night, and nothing
to do.  Not true.  In the resturant biz thier is never nothing to do.  If
you feel thier is nothing to do, look under things, they probably need to be
cleaned.  Wipe down tables, sweep, pick up trash.  It realy doesn't matter
what you are doing, just so far as you *LOOK* busy, and get your job done.
At times, I have held up the pretense that I was realy busy, when I was just
playing around, and somebody else got to do the work I was supposto, all
because I looked busy.  Though that is not a good thing to do, but it proves
that if you work hard enough at looking busy, people will think you are busy.



	2. Work Fast

	Think for a second, are you fast at what you do?  You probably are
but you can be faster, without much actual work.  Just make it look like you
are going realy fast, when you need something that happens to not be withen
reach, walk realy fast to get it, and spin around on your heel, and walk
back very quickly.  Make it normal to walk realy fast, and in general move
very quickly.  Make other people feel like you are in a hurry, and that this
is very inportant to you.  It dosn't realy matter if it is or not, but make
other people belive that it is.




	3. Fix Mistakes


	If you make a mistake, fix it if you can, and don't tell anybody.
It looks bad when you make a mistake, so never let anybody know.  Double
check yourself.  Before you wrap up a burger, or stick a pizza in the oven
make shure it's right.  If it's not, you will only get blamed for it, and
the last thing you want is other people to have a negitive opinnion of you.
Never let that happen, it will dispel the myth that you are a good worker.
Most errors can be fixed, and if not, fake it. (the customer will probably
never know the diffrence)



	4. Ask questions

	If you ever have any doubt in your mind, ask questions.  It makes
you look better, helps you leard (#5), and makes you look like you care.
Remember that thier are no dumb questions, only dumb answers.



	5. Learn

	This is one of the most inportant things in this manual.  If you
don't learn, you will get nowhere fast.  Remember things people have told
you, and remember everything.  If something is not right, tell somebody.
Another thing to remember, the little things matter.  Quite often, the
little things matter more than the big ones.




       In conclusion, after reading this, you should be on the right
track to being a better worker.  It may help you to get a raise. It
will most definitly make an impact on how people treat you at work.
Everybody loves a good worker.  And, actualy work hard, belive that
you are a hard worker, and you will be.  You have to have pride in
you job, you have to actualy care (as hard as it is sometimes).  It
makes a diffrence.  You are not just doing this faster, and better
than anybody else to stay ahead in the job market, you are doing it
because your honer depends on it, if you do a bad job, you pay by
lousing honer.  Or, another way to put it, you don't flip burgers
faster than anybody else to stay ahead, because somebody else will
alwayse be able to do it better, you do it because you have to, it
matters to you, deep down.  It all comes down to honer.  Without
that you have nothing.  After doing this for a while, you should
start to understand what I'm talking about, but if not, get a diffrent
carreer.
