People siting around being drunk. Doing it for what seems only to entertain our superhero. They are loud and boisterous. Most of them make little sence. Thier is one that catches our superhero's eye. He doesn't know why. Neither does she. For some odd reason, she actualy makes sence. Seems to have drunk herself sober if that's actualy possible. Very strange thing to think about, but it's possible.

It's not much more than 12 hours till the end of the world, or Y2K (GMT). Our superhero welcomes it. It should prove to be a nice change.

Our superhero is the type that would gladly trade eternity for a cup of coffee, and a dime. It's realy not that inportant to him. He lives for the now. Rarely thinking about the future. If he does, it's only the near future. Rarely thinking more than a week ahead.

Little things don't bother him. But, then neither do big things. Very little gets under his skin. It's just not that inportant to him. Life is for fun. Right some wrongs, fix some mistakes. But, not realy worry about the details all that much. Somebody else will sort them out before long. And, if they don't they wern't realy all that inportant anyway.

Country music plays on the overhead speaker, makeing our superhero think. The term "beer thirty", makes him wonder. What does that term realy mean? He's heard it used by people he knows before. At the time it was passed off as just a bad joke. Now he truely understand that it realy is just a big joke. A bad joke invented by some country singer. Nameless he will remain. Hopefully for the rest of time.

Chess also makes him think. Where to move, what piece to sacrifice. How to defeat the oponent. Thier can be a multitude of choices. But, few are realy desirable in his opinion. His style of play is 'diffrent' to say the least. Quite effective most times. One time he was playing two games of chess at the same time, and won both of them. He was very proud of himself, quite impressed. But, that was a long time ago. Still seems like last week to him though.

his perception of time is not normal to say the least. As far as he's concerned, it's morning. Never afternoon, and never night. Just morning. The setting sun doesn't affect his opinion, even though it should. He just thinks it's odd that the sun would decide to go down so early that day. The whole idea of day is a bit foren to him.
