Today I have decided to eat at the black crow. I've passed by it several times, but never stoped in. They have realy great music playing, and a nice atmosphere. The menu has a lot of great things on it. They don't seem to have any outlets anywhere, for me to plug in at. You can't leave here without spending more than $5. But that's acutaly average for most places. I consider this very well priced. The only thing that is odd, is the paper on the tables. I asked a waitress about it, and she says that it adds more of a casual look during lunck. And that you can color on them. I don't fit in here at all. Most of the people here are very nicely dressed. Probably from thier good jobs. I know that dan eats here a bit. There is also a bar here. They also have very nice artwork, and vasues laying about. And being in close prosimity to C&L baseball cards, this makes a great place to eat lunch. They are open 11:30am to 10:00pm. The wait staff are quite friendly, and helpfull. According to some the local partons, the food is exelent here, I will be the judge of that, but they still hold a big part in my desision. The way the partion said it, it seemed inderectly directed at me. The very old, and tradisional atmosphere ads a great deal to the meal. When you walk out, you have to watch out for the carpet in the entryway. The floor is about 2 inches lower than the bottom of the door frame. They have a smoking section, and this is a major plus. Although not many people are smoking at the moment, or from the time I came in. There is a very large selection of wine, and other such drinks. The coffee here is not bad. It's about the same quality as the Dimond-T. The wait staff is not very quick to clean up discarded tables, but the place is busy, so that is not that unexpected. Everthing here looks as if it had come out of the 40's, from the celing to the pattern on the carpet. This seems to be one of beatrice's socal hotspots for biz people. The conversation is almost overwelming, but very pleasing. Every body seems to be in a very good mood. The guest checks are handled in a very good mannor. After you are getting close to done, they drop off a green tab. And you put the money it in, and leave. Much nice than any fast food restaraunt. They fill the cups a bit too full, I spilled my coffee a bit. Maby because I haven't slept in a long time, and have become so bored, that I have decided to write revews of resturants? I should actualy get a job doing this :) It's been over 10 min since I ordered, and it's still not here. Pizza must take a long time to make here. I hope it is of good quality. If the time is more than 15-20 min, I will consider taking a few points off of the review. A very upper class place. All of the partons seem very friendly, and cuortious. 2 partons cam in, and one of them made a comment that she was a smoker, and that she did not have any with her. Thusly they chose to sit in the non-smoking section. Very good choice. Above the entryway, thier is a very nice sign, that looks very rickity, but adds to the atmosphere. You get into it from the time you spot the place. 15 min arival time for the food. Piping hot, and defanitly fresh. Very good texture, and color. It is a bit burnt, but not enough to take away from the flavor. The brockley is a bit dry. Interesting 3 proged forks. The crust of the pizza is just the right crispness. Exelent presentation of the food, the fiddly bits are stroun about in a random way. The artwork in here changes from time to time. The chair I am sitting in is definatly not ment for long sits. I would call it a 45 min chair. At least they have not sawed the first 1/2 inch off of the front legs so you have to constently force yourself to lean back. Every so often, the wait staff checks on you to see if you need me coffee, or anything. That is very good. All of the seats aganst the walls are set into very comfter boots made for 4. And thier is a section of about half a dozen tables that are ut in the open. They are usualy quite busy, but it's worth the wait. The quality of everything is very high. Thier are live bands here occasionaly. The pizza is quite filling, and most exelent. And the toppings are so generous, that they fall of of it while eating. All taken together, I would give this a ****and a half. Very good for beatrice. It's rare to find such a great combonation of things all together, that make up a great place to eat!
